Greg Hackett’s ‘The Moment You Stand’ features a star-studded cast alongside members of the public, all of whom have been affected by cancer. Fronted by Selma actor David Oyelowo who lost his father to cancer a year ago, as well as featuring actors Dame Harriet Walker, Jason Watkins, Daniel Mays and Kardiff Kirwan, and Team GB Paralympian Amy Conroy, who herself lost a leg to bone cancer as a child. It’s very much a cause close to Greg’s heart too, after his wife underwent treatment for breast cancer six years ago. The end result is a poignant short film that reflects on how standing up ‘builds community, changes history and shapes the future’.
