Greg Hackett’s adidas spot is the gift that keeps on giving, picking up 3x Cannes Lions out of 6x shortlists. It was awarded Bronze – Film Lions for Single Market Campaign, Gold – Entertainment Lions for Music – Use of Licensed/Adapted Music and Bronze – Entertainment Lions for Sport – Fan Engagement/Distribution Strategy.

Bonnie MacRae tells honest stories through rhythmic, colourful and darkly comic visuals. She is making a name for herself highlighting important subject matters through a lighthearted and stylistic lens.
Bonnie is an upcoming director, hailing from Dundee. She made her debut during the pandemic in 2020 with ‘Mind Yersel’, after surging suicide rates in her hometown named the city as the UK’s Suicide Capital. The film went viral and was featured on BBC Scotland and used by the NHS in a campaign created by Bonnie to establish improved mental health training practices for healthcare professionals across the UK.
She followed this with winning Best Director at the BFI Future Film Festival for her micro-budget dark-comedy ‘All Up There’, a relatable, immersive short around Endometriosis praised for its originality. Spinning her own lived experiences with the condition on its head, the film tackles the realities of medical misogyny, chronic illness and coming of age during the pursuit of a endometriosis diagnosis. Since its release, the film has screened in the UK Parliament, The Vagina Museum, as well as winning a Silver Screen at the Young Director Awards in Cannes.
In 2024 Bonnie moved to London and signed to Spindle, starting to work together behind the scenes and building her commercial reel. Together, All Up There has been developed into a 2025 awareness campaign for charity Endometriosis UK. She has recently completed her debut commercial for Heinz ‘Loved by Babies, Craved by Parents’ – a series of short & sweet comedy spots that show the irresistible nature of their baby food range.
Spindle have also just produced Bonnie’s latest comedy short ‘Happy Birthday Daniel’ in collaboration with Bacon. This tongue in cheek character comedy sees a novelty birthday present given between a young couple haunt them both post break-up. It stars Lizzie Davidson of BBC’s Such Brave Girls and Rhea Norwood of Netflix’s Heartstopper, and is currently starting it’s festival run. Most recently, Bonnie is also developing her debut TV project ‘F*CKGIRL’.
Bonnie is quickly establishing herself as one of the UK’s most exciting breakthrough talents, lauded for her bold, darkly comic but vibrant approach to serious topics.

Molly’s A Loud Piece of Armour will premiere at the Oscar, BAFTA and Goya-qualifying festival Palm Springs International ShortFest, one of the largest showcases of short-form cinema in North America. Watch it as part of the ‘Beneath The Surface’ program at 2.30pm 27.06.25.
Written by Riz Moritz and shot by Robbie Ryan, this short film stars Jo Hartley as Holly, who attempts to rediscover the primal scream she once had as a child. A huge thanks to everyone involved in bringing this labour of love to the screen.

Big welcome to BRBR, who have joined Spindle for representation in UK & Benelux.
BRBR is a film collective who, over the the last ten years, have become known as one of Europe’s most promising talents. Their work hovers between a heightened, otherworldly aesthetic and powerful, raw storytelling, and has picked up multiple awards at Cannes Lions, YDA, Ciclope, Shots and more.

Big well done to Greg Hackett, Milo Blake and all the teams involved with ‘Hey Jude’ and ‘The Empty Seat’ for their wins at Ciclope.
Greg’s ‘Hey Jude’ picked up Gold for ’Best Music Adaptation’, taken from the iconic Beatles track performed live by Sir Paul McCartney. The film was made with Johannes Leonardo, adidas and Wake The Town Music.
Milo’s ‘The Empty Seat’ was awarded Silver for ‘Best Low Budget’ and also Bronze for ‘New Talent in Commercials’. It was made for Paralympic Team Belgium with Being and Mutant.
